During my stay on Zanzibar (early May 2026), I took a day trip to Dar es Salaam and booked Ibrahim for a private city tour. From the moment I arrived at the airport, everything immediately felt relaxed and safe. We discovered the bustling Kariakoo Market, with its countless colorful stalls and the aromas of fresh herbs and fruit, the lively fish market full of activity, and the open-air museum where Tanzania's cultural history truly comes to life. Ibrahim told fascinating stories about daily life, the culture, and the history of Dar es Salaam and Tanzania. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the city truly palpable. Traffic in Dar es Salaam can be chaotic, but with him as guide and driver, it all felt calm and pleasant. He made the day special, personal, and unforgettable. Anyone wanting to experience the city in an authentic way couldn't choose better. In short: a reliable, friendly, and affordable guide; but above all, a fantastic person to travel with!

We had a fantastic day together with Ibrahim! A great driver and great guide who showed us Dar Es Salaam! Ibrahim is both educational with children and creates great energy for the group as a whole! Recommended!

Pepijn and I spent four days traveling with Ibrahim, and it felt right from the start. He picked us up from the airport, and after a night in Dar es Salaam, we drove together to Selous. There, we spent two days driving through the game reserve and bushwalking with the Maasai.

Because Ibrahim speaks English, Swahili, and Dutch, we were able to connect easily and learned a lot of information you wouldn't otherwise hear. He's relaxed, incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and above all, reliable.

Whether you want to leave at five in the morning or spontaneously stop at a local coffee shop along the way: with Ibrahim, it's all possible. Thanks to him, this trip was a walk in the park—especially considering the tense election season.

Ibrahim took our family of five (two adults and three young adult children) on a two-day tour. First, a day in Dar es Salaam and then a day in Bagamoyo. It was fantastic and well-organized. Ibrahim has great ideas for an itinerary, but he's also incredibly flexible when it comes to your own preferences. He's not a run-of-the-mill travel guide. Because I lived in Dar es Salaam during my childhood, I wanted to visit some of the places I remember from the past. Ibrahim made it a wonderful day, combining nostalgic spots with touristy spots and places where locals also hang out, giving us a complete experience of this beautiful African city. We also really appreciated that he knows both sides of the story: the Tanzanian culture, language, and customs, as well as the Dutch (in his Rotterdam accent: "yes, right!"). This made it very easy and enjoyable to travel with him. This is very helpful if you're new to Tanzania/Africa, and especially for our children. I highly recommend working with Ibrahim. I wish you the best of luck, Ibrahim. I hope many Dutch people will want to visit Dar es Salaam, aside from the safari and Zanzibar, so you can give them the grand tour. Asante Sana Kaka, and Kweheri.

Five of us spent two days traveling through Dar es Salaam with Ibrahim. We had a fantastic time, thanks in part to the professionalism and expertise of our driver, Ibrahim, who drove us safely everywhere and acted as our interpreter. Thank you, Ibrahim, for your friendly atmosphere and showing us your wonderful city, Dar es Salaam, and for helping us create an unforgettable trip down memory lane with Julie, our mother-in-law who lived in Dar during her childhood.

Ibrahim was, in a word, fantastic! Super friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable, personable, and full of knowledge and stories about local life and customs in Dar es Salaam. He picked us up and returned us to the airport, and during our stay, he took us to the fish market and the intriguing Kariakoo market, bursting with colors and aromas. We also visited the Village Museum together and enjoyed delicious coffee and drinks with him at his favorite spots.

In short, I highly recommend asking Ibrahim if you want to explore Dar es Salaam with a great guide at your side!

Meeting Ibrahim from Nar Dar es Salaam was a wonderful experience. I'm traveling alone in Tanzania, and when I arrived in Dar, life and everything there completely overwhelmed me. While trying to find my way, I came across Ibrahim's website and was relieved. Hoping that I might have found someone who understood my feelings of being overwhelmed and who could help me, I wrote to him. I quickly received a really friendly reply and an offer to come with him to Bagamoyo. It was a fantastic, relaxing day for me, which gave me courage. The same was true of the city tour two days later. Ibrahim showed me and explained so much. It was incredibly helpful. And just sitting with him on the beach, chatting, and being able to ask him any questions made me very happy. I can recommend Ibrahim's service 150%. It's worth every cent.

Had a very nice tour from Ibrahim this week!
We went to the historical sites in Bagamoyo.
Ibrahim knows where to find all the beautiful places.
And he always ensures that the tour is adapted to your own wishes.

A nice recommendation for anyone in Dar es Salaam!

On our trip to Tanzania, I really wanted to visit a museum.
The rest of the family preferred Gulamali. So I had to go alone. I was quite nervous about that, but with Ibrahim, it wasn't necessary at all. We went by Bajaji. A lovely experience.
At the museum, he patiently waited until I'd finished looking around.
Afterwards, we went to the Kiriakoo market. That was a real experience. Because I'd stayed in the museum a bit too long, we mainly spent time browsing the fruit. And tasting it, of course.
Ibrahim brought me back to my family safely. And I felt safe with him at the market, despite the crowds.
During our conversation on the way, I told Ibrahim that we also wanted to go to Zanzibar. He said he could arrange that. He arranged tickets (tip: stand outside with the locals, unless you prefer to sit in the air conditioning) and made sure we were on board on time. He also picked us up. This allowed us to visit Zanzibar during our stay!
